Breitling Superocean Heritage II

04 / 09 / 2017

Breitling presented the slightly restyled Superocean Heritage II at Baselworld 2017, with minor changes to the shape of the lugs and crown, as well as reshaped hands and hour markers. It has also been improved with a ceramic bezel, and a better performing movement.

The Superocean Heritage II is available in two sizes, 42mm and 46mm, and offers a high level of customisation with their large array of interesting colour combinations.

The new calibre means the case is now thicker, albeit imperceptibly, 15mm high compared to 13.6mm before. The tradeoff, however, is worthwhile.

The earlier generation movement has been replaced by a one made by Tudor, the Breitling B20, based on the the MT5612, which is the same calibre used in both the Tudor Pelagos and Black Bay series. This B20 movement has a convenient power reserve of at least 70 hours, as well as a free-sprung, adjustable mass balance wheel.

Breitling added a handsome and elegant watch with excellent legibility to the dive watch category, ending up offering us a lot of watch and a stunner on the wrist for a great price.
