NEW TAG HEUER CARRERA HEUER 02

05 / 03 / 2018

With the 2018 edition of Baselworld just around the corner, TAG Heuer announced the new Carrera Heuer collection including 13 different models. These differentiate in their colours and materials with the goal in mind to design a modern watch of the future.

Because of its modular construction, various parts of the case can be easily swapped and combined into new configurations, which explains the high amount of variations with one release. Some highlights include a full black ceramic version, a steel and black ceramic version and a rose gold and black ceramic version.

Except for one model with a 45mm case, the Carrera Heuer 02 comes equipped with a 43mm case. Materials used for the case include gold, carbon, PVD-coated steel and ceramic. The bracelets and straps are also offered in a range of leather, ceramic, steel and rubber. The modern Carrera keeps its signature bezel with the tachymeter scale.

The subdials on the skeletonized dials have returned to the classic 3/6/9 configuration rather than the 6/9/12 layout that Carrera has used over the last few decades. This is a result of the new in-house Caliber Heuer 02 which offers a 75-hour power reserve.
