The Whisky Watch from Louis Moinet

08 / 02 / 2018

Louis Moinet, the inventor of the chronograph, and Wealth Solutions teamed up to create one of the most exclusive timepieces, the perfect product for whisky and watch enthusiasts. The Whisky Watch houses a single drop of Old Vatted Glenlivet 1862 — thought to be the oldest in the world and sold at auction in 2013 for $7,735. This is the third Spirit Watch Wealth Solutions has created so far, the previous ones being the Rum Watch and the Cognac Watch.

The Whisky Watch is part of the independent Swiss watchmaking brand Metropolis collection, which features three distinct openwork elements to give the face of the timepiece a three-dimensional look. On the dial at 9 o’clock lies a small seconds lacquered subdial, and sitting at 3 o’clock we clearly see the capsule of whisky.

Powered by the in-house designed and manufactured LM45 caliber, an automatic movement that operates at rapid 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz), the Whisky Watch offers 48 hours of power reserve.

The Whisky Watch is limited to ten pieces of the 18k rose gold version and 40 pieces of the stainless steel version.
